Frequently asked

Is LurraPay a bank?

No. LurraPay is a financial-services platform. Banking-style features are provided by licensed partner institutions; LurraPay is not itself a bank.

Does LurraPay hold or custody my money?

No. Regulated partner institutions hold customer funds and provide the regulated services. LurraPay never takes custody of user funds.

What does LurraPay actually do?

It packages multi-currency stablecoin accounts, on-ramp, off-ramp, stablecoin swaps (USDC, EURC, USDT, USDe, PYUSD), and identity verification from licensed partners into a single product, account, and API.

Is LurraPay just a hardware wallet company?

No. The core offering is the financial-services platform (LurraPay Inc.). LurraPay is also launching a self-custody hardware wallet with built-in banking (ships September 2026, pre-order open), which is the same platform in a physical device.

What currencies and assets are supported?

EUR, USD, and GBP accounts. Deposits settle as USDC or EURC, and on-platform swaps also cover USDT, USDe, and PYUSD.

Who provides LurraPay's banking infrastructure?

Banking rails are provided by MoonPay Virtual Accounts, powered by Iron (a MoonPay company). MoonPay announced the integration publicly on 2 July 2026. Every user receives dedicated USD, EUR, and GBP account details, with an IBAN on the EUR account; deposits convert to stablecoins that settle directly to the user's wallet, and SEPA Instant lets both deposits and payouts complete in seconds. Regulated partners hold customer funds; LurraPay does not.

Where is LurraPay based?

LurraPay Inc. (Cayman Islands) operates the platform and builds the hardware wallet, which is engineered in Europe.
